Ryan Palmer represents buyers and sellers in sale and purchase transactions and helps clients develop, structure, and implement franchising and distribution systems.
Ryan’s practice includes counseling businesses and individuals on a variety of intellectual property, consumer, and Internet law issues. In these areas, his experience includes advising clients in the selection, registration, and enforcement of trademarks, copyrights, and domain names and counseling companies in the licensing, sale, and distribution of their products and services through the Internet and through traditional channels. Ryan also helps companies develop Web sites in compliance with state and federal consumer protection laws and advises organizations on the structure and implementation of gift and loyalty card programs.
Ryan received his B.A., magna cum laude, from St. Olaf College. He graduated cum laude from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and was the founding editor-in-chief of the school’s law review. Ryan has also studied international business and intellectual property law in London as part of the University of San Diego’s Institute on International and Comparative Law. His travels through the Middle East and Asia helped inspire the founding of Beyond Global, a non-profit corporation that enables students to give back to the peoples and cultures they visit while studying abroad.
Ryan is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Minnesota. In 2007 and 2008 he was named a “Rising Star” in the legal profession by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine.
