A co-founder of Krass Monroe, P.A., Rod’s clients benefit from his 35 years of experience as a trial lawyer along with his reputation for expertise in the courtroom. Over the years, Rod has represented businesses, business owners and land owners with his extensive knowledge in the following:
Rod works extensively with municipalities and private developers in all aspects of real estate development including zoning and platting matters. In addition, he has significant experience in the area of condemnation.
A certified civil trial specialist by The National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Minnesota State Bar Association, Rod is consistently selected as a Minnesota Super Lawyer® by Minnesota Law & Politics. He is also named to the 2007 Minnesota Top 40 Employment Law attorneys based on the Minnestoa Law & Politics Super Lawyer® survey. In addition, he has served as past president of the Eighth District Bar Association, and he holds memberships in the Minnesota Bar Association, the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Association for Justice. Rod was appointed by the Chief Judge of the Minnesota Supreme Court to chair the Eighth District Ethics Committee, and he is a former chair of the Eighth District Fee Arbitration Commission. Rod also is a charter member and past president of the Douglas K. Amdahl Inn of Court.
Rod is admitted to practice in all courts in the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin, the Federal District Court, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Rod earned an undergraduate degree at St. John's University and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota.
