A shareholder at Krass Monroe, P.A., Scott represents closely held businesses and individuals in the areas of business planning, estate planning and wealth preservation including:

• Exit planning

He also assists clients with tax planning, general corporate law, and tax controversy resolution.  Prior to joining the firm, Scott focused on transactions and tax planning for businesses and individuals as a tax specialist for the international accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Scott then served as assistant tax counsel for Wells Fargo where he performed federal tax planning and was involved in the resolution of tax controversies.

Through his active involvement in the franchise and multi-unit retail industry, Scott represents multi-unit operators by assisting with their strategic, tax, estate and business succession planning.  He contributes to franchise industry publications and has been honored by Franchise Times as one of franchising's top 100 "Legal Eagles." 

Scott has been named a FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager for 2008 by MplsSt.Paul Magazine and Twin Cities business Monthly.  He has also been listed in "Who's Who in Trust/Estate Planning Law" and recognized as a "Rising Star" in the legal profession by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine.

Graduating with a B.A. degree from St. Olaf College, Scott earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, at William Mitchell College of Law.
