She has a proven track record in regard to structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing secured lending transactions involving asset and real estate-based lending for both lenders and borrowers. She is skilled at assisting clients with multi-unit franchise operations who are refinancing all of their indebtedness, or undertaking a sale-leaseback of all of their real estate. Jodie also represents both lenders and borrowers in restructuring long-term indebtedness or renegotiating loans in work-out situations.
For acquisitions and dispositions of franchised businesses and real estate, both multi-unit and single unit, Jodie provides comprehensive representation that covers every step from drafting and negotiation of a purchase agreement to due diligence review to closing. She also has experience in commercial leasing of real estate on behalf of landlords and tenants.
In 2005, Jodie was named a "Rising Star" by Minnesota Law & Politics and Twin Cities Business Monthly magazines. She is licensed to practice in the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Jodie earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin
Law School, and a B.S. degree, with honors, in Agricultural
Economics from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where she was also
a member of the UW Women's Crew.
