Representing clients in lawsuits, appeals, arbitrations and mediation, he has handled cases in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Colorado, California, Illinois, Arizona, Michigan, New Jersey, Missouri, Florida, North Dakota, North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, Rhode Island, Montana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Tennessee. He also represents clients at the United States Trademark Trial and Appeals Board in Washington, D.C. Given the diversity of Benjamin's practice, he is accustomed to working with corporate counsel and local counsel.
A trusted advocate and good communicator, Benjamin also works with his clients to avoid litigation and resolve disputes informally. Additionally, he frequently counsels in the drafting of contracts and employment policies, debt restructuring, and investigations of alleged employee misconduct.
Since 2007, Benjamin has been consistently recognized as a "Rising Star" as published annually in Minnesota Law & Politics, Twin Cities Business and Mpls.St. Paul Magazine. Rising Stars are those attorneys who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing law for 10 years or less. They represent the top 2.5 percent of up-and-coming attorneys in the state, as selected through a peer review survey and research process.
Benjamin earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School. He also received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota, graduating summa cum laude and earning Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honors.
Benjamin gained extensive experience in civil trial procedure and litigation practice while clerking for the presiding civil judge of the Fourth Judicial District Court, the Honorable Gary R. Larson.
